Tournament Safety Guidelines

In close consultation with state and local health authorities our Tournament will be operating under the following Safety Guidelines (Please Note:  These guidelines will be updated as necessary. Teams will receive communication on updated safety policies via their gotSoccer accounts and through our Constant Contact newsletter service).

Tournament Protocols

 

  • Each team must provide a COVID manager (not a coach) who will be present at all games of the tournament.    They will have responsibility to make sure that all requirements/restrictions are being met by the team.   They will be required to attend a zoom call with the tournament director at least one week prior to the event.

  • In addition, the COVID manager will be required to complete an on-line health form each day of the tournament for their team : https://forms.gle/M6tAqKEwzUJGqeTD8 

  • Teams and their spectators will be on the same side of the field 

  • Will provide additional trainers (with proper PPE) to tournament sites

  • Bathrooms and high touch areas cleaned every hour; hand sanitizer stations throughout site

  • Benches removed during tournament

  • Separate 6-foot area designated for each player on sideline using cones

  • Spectators limited to one per player

  • Health check/waiver for each individual participating in the tournament

  • Masks – coaches, and spectators must wear a mask at all times.   Players must wear a mask unless on the game field for warm-ups or actual game. 

  • Will enforce social distancing rules, when possible

  • Signage throughout site concerning protocols  

  • The home team will supply the game balls.  They must be wiped down before the match and at halftime.

  • Starting game times staggered; teams/age groups kept in pods

  • Game time lengths reduced

  • Will abide by list of states that have mandated quarantine by Maryland – will not accept/invite

  • Bethesda will provide pre-event communications regarding expectations and protocols

  • All event staff will receive pre-event training on protocols and guidelines

  • Teams must leave bench area immediately at the conclusion of the match; teams for the next match cannot come to the field area until the bench area is completely cleared

  • No sharing of water bottles, drinks, food, or personal items

  • Hand contact of any kind is not permitted

2021 BETHESDA PREMIER CUP REFUND POLICY

 

  • No payments will be processed until we have completely confirmed that the Tournament/Age Groups will be played.

 

  • Per the Premier Cup Tournament Rules, refunds will not be issued to teams that drop after the Official Acceptance has been sent. 

 

  • If the Tournament is cancelled due to weather, only teams that have purchased insurance through HBC Event Services will be eligible for a refund (link will be provided soon).
